Project Scope:
600 sq ft 2 story addition to existing home front porch with overhang roof replace siding, gutters, drainage on entire house new kitchen including all cabinets, cupboards, counter with installation new bathroom second floor observation deck with safety railings.

Design construction completed as per original quote.

Quality:
Outstanding quality overall Dougs recommendations regarding selection of materials including bathroom fixtures, kitchen cabinets and cupboards resulted in better over all quality and greater owner satisfaction.
Defects with original construction noted and corrected ie. interior wall cut load bearing ribs. Doug ensured that all sub trade work was reviewed for quality and any defects were corrected.
Selection and availability of sub trade contractors was good improvements to original design were identified, reviewed with myself and approved. Foundation footings solution saved time and cost. Steel I-beam allowed allowed full open concept of new addition.
Schedule
Work completed well ahead of schedule and exceeded my expectations.
Original project construction schedule planned over three months Oct 1st – Jan 31st. 95 % of work completed ahead of schedule.

From the beginning of jobs, when we were trying to make good planning choices, to demolition, to building and finally to clean-up, Doug and his staff were honest, dependable and diligent about the finished work. Doug had good ideas and listened to what we wanted but made suggestions if our wants compromised the integrity of design and buiding. Doug has very high standards. It was a pleasure dealing with Doug Betts and his crew of capable and courteous tradesmen. Doug always kept us informed of the work schedule,and although the weather did not co-operate he managed to keep things moving forward. Something that really impressed me was when one of his men told me he had worked elsewhere, but Doug is the best boss he ever had! Super people, excellent workmanship.

We renovated our home in 2018. We had a few individuals come in to give us estimates and expertise, however, our final decision was to go with Doug from Elite Home Builders. It was one of the best decisions we made in regards to our home, lifestyle and future. Doug is a laid back, honest, professional individual whom always respects your opinion and will go the distance to ensure you are happy. He has a team that stand behind him that have the same integrity. We are an active, busy family who lived in the basement during the renovation. Doug’s team always ensured that we were able to come and go and continue to lead our active, busy lifestyle with minimal interruption.
